The travel plan scorecard, in chronological order:
Getting takeout pho from up the street feels like I got away with a crime. I have no regrets because it was totally tasty. Hey, I wore a mask to get it. Pro tip: takeout broth containers usually don't have room to fit all the pho solids unless you're veeeery careful and put them in a little at a time, as I did.
Ex gave me a pile of fabric. I've cut it, but I'm not sewing it tonight: I've got a video date with the Tickler in forty minutes.
ETA: Desire is cancelled.
- The Vampire Masquerade Ball - Postponed from May 23 to July 25. I'm still planning on going.
- Desire in Palm Desert, CA, scheduled for the last weekend in May - The Tickler wants to go, and all indications are that it's still on. Despite this being a trans-friendly kink event and the Tickler's idea, I'm ambivalent. I'm surprised California hasn't put the kibosh on it.
- Burning Man, always the week that ends Labor Day - cancelled for 2020. I think this was the right move, given how early on-playa prep starts and how damn many people come from all over the world and congregate in filthy conditions.
- The Folsom Street Fair, San Francisco, the last weekend in September - apparently still on. That was my backup plan if the playa didn't happen.
- London, dahling - a possibility for late October, methinks. I have not pulled the trigger.
