Who was that boomer?
Maybe you remember that I walked around Green Lake on Saturday removing anti-vax & pro-Trump stickers. As I was doing one pole, fairly high up, I noticed this dude walking toward me about 50' away. We made eye contact briefly because I do that. He was a white guy who looked to be in his sixties, grey hair, blue fleece vest, sun hat. He looked very much like Joe North End.
I returned to my sticker-peeling. At one point I looked over my shoulder to see Joe North End walking away from me at a pretty good clip. That point on the trail doesn't really seem like a natural place for an about face.
When I was done with that pole I walked in his direction, but I didn't find him. It may be worth noting that I was wearing my older pair of leggings from Bombsheller (*sniffle*) with the Stars & Stripes on the back and Pride stripes on the front, my Geek Girl hoodie, and hiking boots. Joe North End would have seen the Stars & Stripes first and then the Pride stripes when I turned around.
I probably wouldn't have given Joe a second thought except that a) I was peeling anti-vax stickers and b) La Fashionista had recently told me about an experience where she freaked a guy out in the drug store just by buying condoms. Is Joe North End afraid of me? If so, why?
