Should I lie down until the feeling passes?
I was messing with my LJ for unrelated reasons - LJ broke my custom style again a couple of weeks ago - when I stumbled across a setting I'd forgotten I have. I've prohibited search engines from indexing my site.
From a privacy standpoint, this is of course the right thing to do. It would probably be... unhelpful to me if employers saw some of the stuff I've made public. From the standpoint of making the blog of my transition useful to other people going through something similar, though, a search engine can only help. Most of the really juicy stuff is in the past, so maybe it's too late to do any good that way.
