Getting ready for the storm apparently did prevent it from smiting the Abbey. Nibs was worried about my biking home in the storm -- aww -- so I got the car, which meant I had to pick up the Wendling and (try to) telecommute afterward. We briefly lost DSL, but never power. A couple of 15' limbs fell off the Douglas fir, and I think they're too thick to put in yard waste. Any takers? I've already cut them into 5' sections and stripped (most of the) branches off; that's what I did while the DSL was down.
