Nibsmother now knows.

A few minutes ago, Nibs and I had a nice, long phone call with Nibsmother. It went very well. I'm almost ashamed of myself (and Nibs) for thinking that it might have gone otherwise.

There are, of course, dozens of letters going all over the world (really) to Nibs' friends and relations, including one to her dad. (Nibs & her mom concur that's better than a phone call for him. Okey doke.) So, the potential for fireworks still exists, but it's greatly reduced.

I'm still not dead at the hands of short Jews. My in-laws haven't just exceeded expectations; they've thrashed them soundly.

Work emergency yesterday made even more difficult by the office move. Why, Uncle Steve, why do you let this continue?

I'm so glad to read this. It seems inevitable that there will be difficulties, but every step taken that goes well is good credit.
Lots of good thoughts to you all as your boy chews on all of this. I have no doubt, given the foundation you guys have laid for him, that he'll ultimately be fine. I hope the getting there is fine, too.
