body woes

Body woe #1: Back in my mid-20s I used to waist train, i.e. wear a corset almost round the clock. I've discovered that I can't wear one when I sleep anymore and expect not to have to pee in the middle of the night. Apparently my bladder can't take the squooshing it used to. Either that, or I fall back asleep less easily than I used to.

Body woe #2:
When I was taking cipro for my infected prostate I noticed a certain... irritation in my anus that was consistent with everything I'd heard about a hemorrhoid. Weeks went by, and it only got worse - but not monotonically so. A day or two would go by wherein things were hunky dory, then my ass would be lit on fire. The friction of a lot of walking (Hello, Bigpuppy!) or riding a bike, which I haven't done in a couple of weeks, made it worse.

For a while it felt like something like a sharp pepple was lodged in there. There has been dark discharge, and even a little blood.

Well, Nibs finally nagged me into seeing my doc. He didn't see anything with his equipment and referred me to a specialist. In the meantime,though, my butt is better than ever. You see, he had lube on his hands when he poked around in there. That may have made a difference.

I'm right there with you on butt woes. After my mysterious illness, when I was physically unable to eat anything at all for over a month, plus the horrible side effects of the medicines... it's been fun. I've had quite a similar thang going, which I can best attribute to that whole potion of my bodily systems not having been active for too long a time. Lube, it makes all the difference. I probably should talk to my doc about the issue too, I've been reluctant to bring up any new issues with him.

No food for a month?! Yeah, I guess that would mess up your GI tract.

But lube? Jeez. It's such a simple solution. Doc could have mentioned it in an earlier communication. To be fair to him, he thought it was further in that it is.

Yeah, no food, barely 10 oz of fluids. Not good. Still only minorly able to obtain sustinance. Body has stopped dropping weight, I think it's decided I'm anorexic or something. I live on juice, soda, and baby or toddler food right now. Oh and mashed potato. Whee?


Yes, lube. Love the lube. Buy stock in the lube. Lube is always a good thing. Well, except when you can't get the silicone stains out of the sheets...
