Scratch one date.

Saturday: Text the Young Lady in the Bowler to confirm Sunday's date. No response.
Sunday: Zappy, dinner with m'boy, get gussied up in a mad rush, make it to the Mercury on time. She's not there. When texted, she says she's tired.

Screw that. Right in the ear.

Seethed over absinthe with [livejournal.com profile] fullcontactmuse, and later over beer with [livejournal.com profile] dagard. Happiness is being told by E the Tall Blonde Pool Player that the YLB was missing something.

Happy Thought: This coming Saturday is a date with D, who wished me a happy Mothers' Day. Not quite appropriate, but really sweet.

I have a tiny carry bag that the laptop fits in--I had intended to keep that with me. I guess we'll see if they let me... :)

No, they won't let you keep it. I don't blame them for that -- there is absolutely no safe place to stow hand-baggage **inside** the cabin, except for a cargo-net arrangement that is only allowed to be used for soft items and (ahem) floaty-plane frieght in cardboard boxes.

Yahh, believe me, I have tried and tried and tried to keep my machine with me, but **everything** goes inside a special compartment in the nearside float of the plane, and they screw the lid down tight and that's that.

Enjoy the very exhilerating ride! It's fun!
