Sunday's lunch date with Funny Lady was perfectly pleasant as always, including a walk up and down Phinney Ridge with its flowers in bloom, but she had a time limit. I'm detecting a certain lack of enthusiasm for romance, for which I can hardly blame her under her current circumstances. I'm sorry I skipped a queer poly women's munch for it. So, It's back to OKCupid for me. At least I'm armed with sexy new pics.

I've been taking a hands-on crash course in MongoDB administration. Too many manual steps. Memo to people who write open source distributed database thingies: automation wins. It's what computers are made for.

I am currently full of germs. You'd do well to stay away from me for the next few days. I even skipped Lambert House and, potentially, the Siberian Siren last night. You know it's bad if I do that.

Heh..... one problem with Open Source is that everyone is so concentrated on "Scratching their own itch", they get automation that is very dependent on environment and can't be added to the project.
