So, uh, I'm going to have surgery to reduce my jaw tomorrow. My thoughts about this are

1. My goodness, where did the time go?
2. This recovery is going to suuuuck.
3. I hope I end up looking more like I want to look? It'll take weeks before I know for sure.
4. I'm proud of what I've done to prepare: I've made a care calendar, (mostly) followed instructions, and I'm on top of communications.
5. Eeeek!
6. ETA: A ton of fun things are happening in the next two weeks, right when I'll be in no condition to enjoy them. Urgnrgh!

Best wishes on a speedy recovery! Your poor jaw will undergo a lot of trauma, so don't worry about first impressions in the mirror while swelling/bruising are still in effect.

What's on the recovery schedule? Reading, writing, binge watching, or?
