My mom's on serious druuuuuuugs!
Three days ago, Good Sister texted that Mom has been hitting, kicking, and spitting at the staff of the memory care facility. They've put her on depakote. The United Sister Front is unanimously OK with this.
It's... not good that it took me three whole days to remember to tell you all this. That's how blasé I've gotten about my mom's continued slide into dementia.
My poor mother can't remember where she is or why, and she finds it terrifying. There aren't many people that I'd wish that much horror on, and my mother definitely isn't one of them. I fervently hope that my sisters and I aren't in for this ourselves.
Maybe I've said it before, but I'll say it again: the sooner Mom is gone, the better off all four of us will be.
I had such a sweet talk with her on Mother's Day.
