Greetings from the Seattle Convention Center.
It's my employer's annual digital marketing conference, in person again for the first time in three years. Our marketing people were so pitiful while pleading for volunteers that I gave in. In a few minutes I'll resume being a social media minion.
It's smaller (duh) than in years past, about half the in-person attendance. It's also mercifully sedate: attendees seem to have fewer gripes per person. I've seen my fair share of customers, both known to me and otherwise, plus current cow orkers from far away and past orkers made good. Definitely enough social activity, even for me.
But am I grateful that I'm sitting in the quietest corner of a very large room? Yes.
