corsetty goodness
Quilt binding tape appears to make acceptable stay case tape. It's wide enough for the 1/2" stays that I prefer. This saves me a lot of time and burned fingers from cutting and pressing my own stay cases. I think I have a fighting chance of finishing my next corset within ten days despite a visit from the Nibsmother next week. Yeah, I know there's stay case tape that's made out of twill, but it isn't as widely available as quilt binding tape and I've never needed the extra strength in the past.

The quilting tape is bias cut, but at least it's two layers. I'm willing to give it a shot, and if it wears out, I've sewn it to the right side of the lining, so it'd be easy to replace them with the twill.

Good luck with it.
