So, what do you do when you have stompy boots that lace up to there but your spouse doesn't want you tracking dirt all over the carpet with them? You make elasticized shoe covers out of drab jean. And why would you just happen to have this fabric lying around? Because it's good for corset mock-ups.

Poo is hitting the fan over the neighborhood traffic calming plan. I'm supposed to sell it to the neighbors at an open house Tuesday night, but I need to have something to sell. Soccer moms are ready to call their lawyers. This could make for an interesting couple of days.

Solution: Board with nails in it.

Don't think that hasn't occurred to me.

It's got full deniability, just put in front of someone else's house.

Just say "it's to make the children safer" coz these days that covers every base there is. Although if you could fit a "and to fight speeding terrorists" that would make it even better.

Or you could take a big Fresnel lens and go melt holes in the pavement and put nails in them before they solidify again. That'd be really cool.

Heck, I used to live in a neighborhood where people would go FLYING down the street at 50+!
If people get pissy at trying to reduce the traffic speeds in the neighborhood...ask the local childrens hospital for pictures of children(sans face shots) who've been hit by cars whilst playing! Watch the parents do one of two things....stfu or say, oh no..that could NEVER happen to MY little Johnny! /sighs
Didn't think about the shoe covers. Thanks!

All the parents in the neighborhood are on the pro-hump side. It's the geezers with trailers & RVs who aren't. Of course they're the ones with time on their hands for politicking.
