I have a new record in latency between sending an OKCupid message and getting a response: six weeks. It was a sweetly worded no-thanks because the recipient found out that she and her hubby will be moving out of Seattle right around the time I sent my message. OK, sure, but six weeks?

Meanwhile, things are looking up, I think. I fought my blues of last night by casting a couple of messages, and got a nibble back within a day. That, and Funny Lady should be in town next week.

For what it's worth, I often go months without checking OKCupid to see if I have messages.
