Tonight's date with Taller Woman got cancelled. We haven't scheduled another one yet. It occurs to me that that's not a good sign, even if she isn't a flake.

I've been having an unpleasant week so far at work, involving code & configuration archeology. I've been doing what my father used to call tearing down with my ass what I put up with my hands.

But hey, my apartment & laundry are clean, and I have more cash than I expected because - wait for it - no date.

Oh yeah: Still not going to Burning Man this year.

My heart swells for the Burners who are missing, this year. (Any year, really.) Because I know the bitter longing that only builds until Burn Night. <3 I'll put something in the Temple for you.

But I also am confident that the orphan Burners can always find a piece of home somewhere close by. What good is it if you can't take a little bit with you wherever you go. :)

Much appreciated! It's like I told some random Ozzie last year: once you've got the bug, it's hard to stay away.
