No, I'm not grateful.

I seem to be part of a small, select group: I've neither gained nor lost, that I can tell, from the Republican tax scam of 2018. I'm not the 1%, but I'm apparently just shy of the 10% in both assets and income. (I could have sworn it was higher the last time I looked; that may be because the tax scam favored unearned income.)

That's right: the Orange Horror and his flunkies have screwed roughly nine tenths of the country out of at least some cash. I wonder if that will get their attention; kids in cages where horrible things happen to them doesn't seem to have done so.

I'm pretty sure _nothing_ will get their attention, because they're emotionally wedded to Not Losing To Those Other People. What I am hoping is that they'll feel sufficient discomfort that they won't go vote in large numbers.

The accountant thinks we may squeak by. I said we should donate any refund we get to Northwest Harvest.

Our owed amt went up by 10%. That was going from $17 to $166. Of course the husband started taking out extra from his paycheck to put towards taxes at the start of 2018, or we'd have owed about $900 instead.
