3. ...sewing with its usual seam-ripping agonies. I'm on track to start the normal, simple part of the Halloween project before I leave for...
4. ...the Spain trip, which I still can't quite believe is real. Much to do to get ready. I've made lists, of course.
5. Boy = kicking butt in his history class. Such nakhes! The theme of the class is genocide, which is right up his alley.

La Sagrada Familia for sure at least go see the outside, we did not go in because we didn't have enough time. If you like to bike I totally recommend doing Fat City Bike Tours (http://fattirebiketours.com/barcelona). Seriously the best way to see a lot of Barcelona! If you can't do that try and hit one of the parks. I know there is one we went to that is near where they had an archway that was built for the World's Fair and the park also has a zoo. It's a really nice park with ponds and an absolutely stunning fountain that Gaudi built. It's in a park that used to be where a prison was. Telling you all this because I don't know the name, but telling some people this may help someone figure out where it is. La Ramblas was meh, packed with tourists and very crowded. Do not eat down there as everything is totally overpriced and not the best food. La Bouqeria is worth going into if you want to grab a bit to eat and it's about midway down La Ramblas and it's the only place near La Ramblas worth eating. One thing to be very careful of in Barcelona is pick pockets particularly around La Ramblas, but other areas too. Fortunately we did not become victims of it, but keep your wits about you. There are a lot of scams like women trying to pin a flower on you and only asking for a donation just so they can see where you have your money stashes and many other things. Do a search on Barcelona scams just so you are aware of what to look for before going. Our hotel did give us a list of them which was helpful, but David had already done research well in advance so there were no surprises. Also knowing some Spanish will really help you there! Dinners we had every night at our hotel because honestly the food was amazing, not cheap, but really, really good. So if you want a nice meal go to the Hotel Claris in the L'Eixample area and go the restaurant on the rooftop. Reservations are recommended.

We spent one afternoon doing this. We also did this tour (http://www.spanish-trails.com/eng/catalonia_daytrips_montserrat.php) which was totally worth the day spent doing it. Montserrat is absolutely beautiful as is the monastery you visit! We also got to hear the European Boys Choir sing there. If you aren't into wine at all they offer other tours as well.

So the favor I need is if you happen to be able to get to a wine store if you could pick me up a couple of bottles of Jean Leon Terrasola Tempranillo. I believe the customs limit per person to bring back to the US is 2 liters. I don't care what vintage and it costs less than 10 Euros a bottle and obviously will happily pay you for it! I can't get it here, believe me been trying since day 1 we got back so would be extremely grateful if you could. It was seriously some of the best wine of our entire trip through the Mediterranean!
