sistawendy: me in C18-inspired makeup looking amused (amused eighteenthcent)
It turns out that the Proprietress loves local (musical) theater. Instead of an earlier planned quiet night with me last night, she wanted to catch the last night of Zombie Cheerleaders From Hell at the Can Can, which is a tiny, cramped basement space across from Pike Place Market.

How was it? The singing & dancing were excellent, but the story was a little thin, even by the standards of camp musical theater. And of course it was pretty darn gay, including the audience. The space is so small I was afraid one of the astoundingly limber dancers was going to whack her foot on a sprinkler pipe. As I told the Prope, I don't have a cheerleader kink, but I might look into acquiring one.

Would I go to something like that again? Wayell, if the Prope wanted to go. Even she said she didn't like this production as much as others she'd seen there. Says she, the Can Can, which is about fifteen years old, is one of the few places outside the ballet and strip joints where you can actually make money dancing in Seattle.

She took me home. There was a little show & tell. Ahem.
