I went to the big art supply store in Seattle's University District, and I got four 40"x60" sheets of cardboard that are white on one side – cheaper and more environmentally sound than foam board. Getting those home on a rush hour bus and then walking the streets with them was an adventure. Two of them are now my video background for work, and the other two have Burning Man maps tacked to them, and are installed to cover what would otherwise be cluttered locations.
That glass table top? It used to sit on top of a bright yellow cylindrical beanbag in the living area of the old place, mainly holding up plants. Now they're my nightstand. It may migrate to the other side of my bed once I get blinds. If I get tired of the bright yellow I could make a cover.
My son has a cold. At least, I hope it's a cold. He's staying with his mother this week which, OK, more time & freedom for me, but I can't help but wonder if he's avoiding my place because I have no bed for him yet. I can't wait for him to come and experience the joy that is unpacking.
But I really don't have anything house related to do today, except for maybe shoot video that someone asked for.
