Stopped by OSeaO's reopening for sentimental reasons. The space is now spiffy, well-lit, and full of art. Good crowd including a kid or two, but no dancing despite pretty good music. It doesn't seem to be a rave venue anymore, for better and for worse. I mean, a place to party that isn't halfway to Canada is nice, but I don't want the OSeaO guys getting in trouble, which apparently happened a couple of years ago. Drank too-hot oolong, got crawled upon by a giant southeast Asian insect (really!), mingled a little. It's a good place to get or stay sober.
Good voice thing: I'm confident enough with it to tell a stanger that the Fremont Troll is under the Aurora Bridge, not the Fremont Bridge. Bad voice thing: I can't project nearly as well en femme. This resulted in my confusing a bartender.
ToST is too small but otherwise kicks butt. I need more pink in my wardrobe if I'm going to go to something called "Pinky's Revenge". Oh darn. Mental note: make it to the real Pinky's (OK, its successor) at )'(, because even the fake one was a lot of fun. I was told that those guys are doing a monthly there. Oh noes, another good night.
