May. 6th, 2011 06:14 pmWent to a happy hour at the Elite with MyCo's and Amazon's GLBT employee associations. W. of "You're coming up, dahling" fame was there and apologized for the gender imbalance: about twenty men and three women.
There was one other trans woman there, a young lady from Amazon who'd gone full time just six weeks ago! It turns out that Amazon has no SRS benefit and she wants to change that, so I gave her the name of the guy at MyCo who was instrumental in having ours upped this year. I wish her all success.
Why I love bi women #1: They encourage me to move forward with a crazy plan involving another bi woman.
The Elite? A cozy and very gay bar; nice place.
Forgot to eat. That's what happens when I'm drinking & talking non-stop. Thank heavens B&O was just up the street.
Went to the CSPC, gently reminded the Other Woman that she'd agreed to a coffee date this month, and spent most of the evening chatting with Girl Named After a Rock.
Why I love bi women #2, #3, #4, and #5: They're gorgeous, sharp dressers, charming, and good conversationalists.

robotangel today! When I'm with her at MyCo, suddenly I'm not the most funkily dressed woman in the room, but I don't mind because she always looks fantastic.
My corner of MyCo has its power turned off for maintenance today and over the weekend, so they took my group out to see Thor. Enh. It's another comic book movie, another testament to Hollywood's aversion to risk. I also wondered what all the Asians in the crowd thought of all the references to Norse mythology.
