best lunch meeting ever

During the school year on Tuesday nights, I was taking my son to his synagogue youth group. Now that it's summer and it doesn't meet, Nibs wanted us to spend some time together. Her plan: m'boy and I are going to eat lunch together every Tuesday at MyCo this summer, and the first one was yesterday.

This is yay. I get to escape work for an hour - What boss will tell you you can't see the son you don't live with? - and tell m'boy to sit up straight and eat his fruit or vegetables. And I get to rub his head.

Yesterday may have been the first time he took the bus alone. He remembered to get a bus transfer for the trip home. I'm proud of him.
