first week at the new job

Things I have learned on the new job:

• Switching platforms is a big pain no matter which direction you go. Going back to an old one after 4+ years is better, but not hugely.
• There's no need to buy lunch. StartupCo has an astounding quantity & variety of food on hand, some of which can be used to make a wholesome, balanced lunch.
• Some women at StartupCo have a more... inclusive idea of work-appropriate than I do. They make it look good because they have much better figures than I do, but it was still a surprise.
• Two social gatherings involving alcohol this week. I could get used to that.
• There's at least one other Burner chick in the office. Ah, kindred spirits.

I've got all my furniture put together except a coffee table. My empty bin & boxes are stored in the basement. One trip to IKEA, a working vacuum, and art on the walls is all I need here.

M'boy is reading in the living room as I type this on the crazy-tall bed in the bedroom; he's staying with me until I go to zappy on Sunday. We are full of Red Mill. Happiness.
