from the Dept. of Disturbing
Nov. 24th, 2013 09:42 pmI took m'boy to Dr. Kidshrink yesterday, as I do occasionally. (Aspiring Ex usually has that job.) The plan was for the Wendling to drive us back, but he uncharacteristically said he didn't want to. His reason? He hadn't taken any of his ADD meds yet that day; he usually doesn't on weekends unless he has to work because the damn things have always interfered with his appetite and sleep.
Please tell me he isn't developing a psychological dependence on them. I guess it isn't much better if he really does need them to drive. In any case, I didn't feel like second guessing him at the time when it was a question of road safety, so I did the driving.
When I told his mother about the above incident, he said he was too sleepy to drive. That's not what he told me at the time, and it was 2:00 PM.
