twitching son

The Wendling is usually asleep when I get ready to leave for work in the morning. As I watched him this morning, I noticed that he was twitching like, well, a really twitchy thing. Almost convulsing, for a few minutes at a stretch. He would scratch himself or grunt occasionally, but he didn't obviously wake up. Actually getting him to be awake and alert in the morning requires electricity, explosives, or both.

Given that he regularly takes ADD & anti-anxiety meds, weird sleep is probably to be expected. It's nothing, right? Jeez, no wonder he balls up his flat sheet so often.

Tonight: maybe pho, and I hope watching LBJ, which is more up his alley than mine.

Why do women date me, again?

I had another fabulous cheap date with the Proprietress for lunch today, using a dearth of gochujang as a pretext for Uwajimaya. We even agreed on an (ahem) activity for Friday night. After we finished, we were walking the couple of blocks to the train station entrance - not the nearest one - and talking about that call from Lady Raven and the info she needs. I slipped up and referred to the Tickler as "my girlfriend".

I quickly clarified to the Prope that she is my other girlfriend, which she already knew. But mayunn, I could flagellate myself with my tongue sometimes. (Imagine the wet slapping sound.) Luckily, the Prope is the very soul of grace, and we hung out at the corner of 5th & Jackson while she told me about stuff in her life.

Aside from my tip of the slongue, it's a little uncanny how often we're on the same wavelength about stuff like when we should go and kids and legal stuff and life in general. I haven't experienced anything like that since, well, my halcyon days with Ex. Maybe not even then: Ex & I figured out before we even got engaged that our world views weren't always in perfect alignment.
