two reasons why my son is pretty great
Oct. 21st, 2019 08:37 pmReason 1: My son is registered to vote, etc. at my address. I admit that's a little weird given that he spends at most two nights a week here; it may have been because Ex didn't want to deal with getting him to deal with his mail. But it's impressive that he asked me to bring his ballot - Washington state has mail-in voting - from my place to his mother's. He said he was afraid he might forget to vote otherwise. That's one public-spirited kiddo.
Reason 2: Seattle is notorious for rain, but what most people don't know is that the rainfall here is very seasonal. Peak sog is in November and December, and you can expect a few weeks of ramp-up in October. That's been happening for the last week. Tonight was my night to return Ex's car and take the Wendling out to dinner. Afterward he asked, "Are you sure you want to take the bus home?"
"No, I'm not."
"I could drive you home," or words to that effect.
"Thank you, my son."
Aw. So I'm now dry, warm, and sitting in front of a 'pooter with time to spare before bedtime, thanks to my son. Happiness.
