still kind of camping out
May. 9th, 2022 04:53 pmThe washer & dryer that I ordered have a scheduled delivery date of June 28th. Albert Lee says it's in stock, but they don't have the delivery capacity. They put me on "standby" for an earlier delivery. We'll see how that works out. I anticipate taking Ex up on her offer of free laundry on multiple occasions. Le sigh. My son is going to get really tired of my grabbing my car to move laundry, donations, recycling, and trash to where they're supposed to go. Shoot, I'm going to get tired of it.
The builder's dude came out to check out my fridge. He googled the situation. It said to turn off the power for 40 minutes using the circuit breaker, then try again. I did all that, and no luck. I may end up with a brand new fridge, or at least one that's been repaired. Meanwhile, I stocked up on non-perishable food yesterday.
The blinds lady is coming Wednesday. If I'm going to do anything naughty in my living room or even run around nekkid as usual in my bedroom, I need blinds soon. My brief introduction to my neighbors to the front leads me to believe they might be a little uptight. Luckily, I've seen no evidence that they're moving in yet.
I finished unpacking the kitchen. Everything fit with a little room to spare! On to the bedroom! The trouble with that, though, is that I need another dresser that Ex wants to give me. I don't know how she plans to get it to me, though. The living room will be dead last because a) nobody lives there and b) I need bookshelves.
