travel plans
Oct. 5th, 2023 03:14 pmI've just heard independently from both Dark Garden Corsets and from Madame Zoie that Torture Garden San Francisco will be their first installment. I'm not in a mood to risk a trip down there if it might not be up to the standard of the London original*. I also expect to be thoroughly sick of traveling, if not actually sick at the rate my friends are catching COVID, right after I get back from the ash trip. Sorry,
cupcake_goth.
However, do you know what's a much surer bet? Wave Gotik Treffen, auf Deutschland, ja. I've talked about it here before: mind-blowing costumes, kink, and maybe even some music. I know at least three people who've gone. It's been on my bucket list forever. What more could I want? I might even have enough lead time, seeing as how it's in late May. And as for the spendy hotels, a commute across Leipzig on the local mass transit would be a little slice of socialist paradise for this American. I'll see what I can arrange.
*And as both Zoie and J the Welsh schoolteacher have pointed out, even London TG varies by venue. The one you want is the one I went to, Electrowerkz in Islington.
