I spent much of yesterday flattening my phone and setting it back up because my work email address changed. Similarly, I spent an hour or two this morning on my desk phone, which is VoIP and therefore uses - wait for it - my email address.
Also, I'm in PTA hell for the next seventeen days: I'm on the hook to arrange over forty-eight hours of activities during parent-teacher conference week. I predict either glory or disaster.
Happy thoughts:
Now that my name and alias change have finally gone through, I can write my intro without feeling icky. That’s right: I’m brought to you by the letters T and L. I started living full time as a woman at 9:00 PM on December 10th. And huge thanks to the [association] board for getting the cap on the gender reassignment benefit lifted! I’m planning on using it in the next few months.
I have a (separated, straight) wife and a (13-year-old and therefore maddening, but sometimes wonderful) son. Getting to where I am now has been a real adventure, and if anyone has questions about it I’d be happy to answer them.
I’m in what’s now [my group]. We’re the mail-filtering service. We block your spam, viruses, etc., and we also do it for lots of other companies. I’m a recording angel; I’m a dev on the team that keeps track of what we did with all that mail.
I like both kinds of music: house and techno. I like going out and dancing to same. I like to sew costumes and play with power tools. I’m a PTA lady.
I’ve met a few of you at [association] events. See you ‘round.

Happy thoughts:
- Many lunch or coffee dates this month, including a grad school classmate whom I haven't seen since we were in school, and an absurdly beautiful camp mate from )'(.
- My driver's license picture looks even perkier in color.
