I have told my team captain that I will not be going to the Anomaly. Yeah, that rare Ingress event that people are flying up here from California to participate in.
And why would I do such a thing? Because my son will be working from 1700 to 2100 on both Friday and Saturday night. That means the only time I get to spend with him that weekend is Saturday. By then we will not have been to Red Mill together in four weeks. So I asked him if he wanted to have them for lunch - unusually for us - and of course he said yes.
Regrets? Believe it or not, no. I just don't take Ingress that seriously and wouldn't have had much time playing anyway. And given that m'boy is wrestling with SQUIRREL!, about to go through a move for the first time in sixteen years that he doesn't want to make, and has been grievously deprived of righteous burgers, I figure he needs time with his M. Although I have to say, Ms. Team Captain's profile pic is really cute.
I made a date with the Tickler this afternoon, thereby putting my dating hiatus out of its misery. Grawr!
