Along with everyone else at both of my employer's offices, I got sent home at 1300 today to work remotely through Mach 13. It turns that an employee who came to the office where I work had what could be symptoms of COVID-19 - good luck getting tested, thanks to the criminals in charge of the US federal government - so our HR folks did the cautious thing and sent everyone home.
So my timing for getting an external monitor couldn't have been better. The addition of one hardcopy dictionary (Remember them?) under the monitor stand, and a cardboard box sawed in half in the desk drawer where my keyboard now sits make the ergonomics here in my bedroom nearly as good as those at my office. Most satisfactory. And I actually got stuff done here at home. Maybe this remoting business isn't that bad after all.
And I decided that since this is more or less an emergency, I'd try one of the Mountain House meals. Not bad!
