For whatever it's worth, I make my own wax out of 2 cups of sugar, 1/4 cup water and 1/4 cup lemon juice, simmer for 20 minutes until golden brown. Use at room temperature. Powder skin. Apply against the direction of growth, pull with direction of growth.

It's less burny, water-soluble, and tastes great. :D
