As I type this, I am wearing a "walking suit" made from a pattern copied from a dress made c. 1894. I'll give you zero guesses as to who made it: I did. If I may say so myself, it looks damn fine on me. OK, it could use a few alterations, but the fit is surprisingly good, even the length of the skirt, which I didn't try on before hemming because I was too burnt out. Mwah. No piccies, though, until the hat arrives a few weeks, and even then only if you ask ever so nicely. Yeeha!
