When I was halfway through security at Heathrow, I remembered that I walked out with the key to my AirBnB, despite being reminded not to twice. I spent much of the near-empty flight home beating myself up about it. A couple of hours after I got back to my place, I walked up the hill to Sip & Ship – Viva Phinney Ridge! – and paid an eye-watering amount to express mail that key back.
At least Seattle had the decency to greet me with a beautiful, sunny day and a view of Mt. Rainier. I'm unpacked, and I just heard my load of wash finish.
I'm taking the day off to deal with jet lag and errands. I slept from 1800-0030 last night, and 0500-0700 this morning. I'm hoping to make it to 21000 before completely fading.
I've already started making plans for my return to London. And I have ordered an electric kettle.
