I stayed out about an hour too late having a lovely dinner with the Seattle Latex Circle. Happiness is meeting a charming funeral director in a lovely black and translucent blue latex outfit. It killed me a little that she was there with her equally charming and, let's face it, pretty cute German boyfriend, but still, I had a lovely time. That crowd is also a good place to get information to fill the void left by the end of my favorite monthly event.
By the way, the Tin Table is one of my favorite restaurants on Capitol Hill. Madame Zoie booked at least two thirds of the space for us. There were so many of us – twenty-five present out of twenty-seven promised – that we damn near melted down the kitchen and wait staff. And still, the food, drinks, and service were right on. We rotate venues, but I'd be fine with going there more often. Honorable mention: Quinn's.
