Friday: took the Wendling to his first soccer practice. I am so suburban, and sometimes I'm even proud of it, baby. He didn't do too badly; the hardest things for him are paying attention and grokking things like that he needs to get back in line to shoot.

I'm pretty sure Sony's not going to destroy my company any time soon, and I wasn't on the critical path this time. Whew, and whew.

Saturday: went downtown with the Nibbal Unit for a little marital shrink-rapping (not as stressful as it sometimes is), and ended up in need of cheapish eats. If you have to go to Red Robin, go to the one on pier 55, sit outdoors, and face west late on a couldless afternoon in September. To quote Her Nibs, people live elsewhere why?

Yeah, I was a lazy-assed pirate captive in my Blue Confection again. Sue me. Excuse: I'm hard at work on my Halloween costume. At least I brought my own rope this time. Much thanks to ajka for binding my hands three times and deadrose and Jen (?) for doing it once each. No, I wasn't tugging on the ropes with my teeth just to get attention; they came loose from dancing, mostly. Mmm. Pirates and wenches.

I'm a bit bummed that I missed another filming frenzy. I feel like that TMBG lyric: the engagements are booked through the end of the world. Maybe someday, gfish.
