the weekend that wasn't?
Feb. 16th, 2004 08:41 amIf you're going to stay home on Valentine's Day, you could do far, far worse than watching American Splendor, the trueish story of how neurotic pessimist and seeming loser Harvey Pekar found a career, love, and family almost in spite of himself. Yeah, I see a lot of myself in him, but unlike him I wouldn't be caught dead out of costume on Halloween. It's even a good date movie.
Thrift store shopping in a large black-clad group was a blast on Sunday. Mm, clothes I need at prices that don't make me feel guilty. It's a pity I had to bail early. Air kisses to our organizatrices,
prncsmoonbeam and
alexiarnps.
Crashed instead of clubbing. Damn you, Morpheus.
