Dec. 21st, 2004 03:02 pmI took the bus with the Wendling down to the Frye Art Museum to see the Mark Ryden exhibit. Yow! The museum is much bigger than I expected, and the Ryden exhibit itself knocked my socks off. The lampoonish figures, mysterious repeated graffiti motifs, pastel colors, and mutilated and dead bits all suggest a sort of Alice In Wonderland meets Bosch meets performance art meets schizophrenia. It pinned the needle on my gothometer. I want to track down Ryden and ask him who Lyubov is. Y'all go.
Warm fuzzy for the day:
"So, Wendling, which do you like better, the art or the bus trip?"
"I like them both."
Nibbal health: she's been informed that there's been a manufacturing problem with injectable methotrexate, so if I can't track some down (she has to work today), she'll have to go back to the stomach-shredding oral stuff. Patients from Oregon are already calling pharmacies up here.
Update: Pharmacies checked: 5. Pharmacies with more than one week's dose: 1. Vials snarfed: 2. Whew.
