a night at Nerdvana
Jun. 5th, 2005 08:55 amHad a fabulous time impersonating a Canadian with the MOO kroo et al.
shadowblue, I had no choice but to make up words and most of the tune to "O Canada". I'm in
hotpoint's debt for sharing his extra snobby quadruple-malted beer with with me. Ah, it was even more regrettable than usual that I had to scram at my usual time (1:00). It had been too long. I suppose it's a measure of how much Nerdvana's denizens kick ass that I'm always wanting more.
I had a very bad five minutes when I arrived: forgot the birthday girl's card; remembered the envelope. I almost walked in with my glasses on, so I went back to the car. I tripped in Platforms of Doom just before reaching my Anonymobile (no alcohol involved -- really), and the muscles in my surprised neck managed to break my choker clasp, which I then lost in the grass. It was as if bad fairies were trying to keep me from the party, but they failed.
