I put my small poster of the classic Dobbshead on my office door. My former office mate happened by and asked me if I drew it. Instead of trying to explain it to him, I directed him to the Church of the SubGenius - after hours, of course. Boss.boss.boss knew who it was right away; I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or not.

Speaking of the new job and its Kool Aid that I'm drinking, I just experienced the wonder that is Windows Remote Desktop for the first time. As somebody who's used to VNC, it was a revelation, even over my sub-megabit DSL connection.

worst recoverable corset screw-up ever

I had some nice green silk duppioni lying around from an old, once-worn costume and I thought I'm make a corset out of it. I had enough to use it for both the fashion & lining fabrics. Well, you can see where I'm going with this: stay cases went on the inside on the left, but on the outside on the right. Present... seam ripper! Luckily, I don't see any needle holes where I've ripped already. It's just going to take hours to take off the binding & stay cases from half a corset. And I was so psyched to wear it tonight to the Science Center party.
