gaming with m'boy
Sep. 24th, 2010 10:35 pmI fired up the new-to-us PS2, weeded out the M-rated games (Would anybody like three different titles of Grand Theft Auto?), and popped John Madden Football in. Confusion reigned at first, but happiness prevailed.
We're still figuring it out. Remember, folks, the last time I gamed a lot, I was using a keyboard, or a controller with one stick and maybe two buttons. A modern controller with twelve buttons (not counting start & select) and two sticks was a bewildering experience at first. M'boy was apparently even less familiar, so I helped him out as much as I could.
So, folks, keeping in mind that my son is a young 13 and his mother is vocally against violent games, which PS2 titles would you recommend? Yes, I've asked some of you this question in person before, but I didn't write down the answer. I'm letting you do that for me now, if you don't mind.
Will it bring us closer together? Will it help his coordination & reasoning abilities? Tune in later. In the meantime, I'm going to kick his butt with the deep pass.
