sistawendy: me in the Mercury's alley with the wind catching my hair (smoldering windblown Merc alley)
J&J, the couple that adopted me the night before Pride, got the three of us plus three more of her friends together for afternoon drinks up in Mill Creek. There was another trans woman, S, in the group, with whom I was afraid J&J wanted to fix me up. That prospect didn't thril me, but I like J&J a lot, so up 405 I went.

I need not have worried. I didn't get the impression that S is into me. S is, however, trying to get her surgery done with some serious money, employment, and health woes; they're all too common among older trans women. She needed someone to talk to, and talk she did. I often felt a disconnected from the rest of the group, but it was for a good cause. And as far as dating goes, S had already discovered the CSPC, so she's in a better situation than J&J realized. S & I got to school everyone else about kink while sipping tasty margaritas in a yuppie joint. Heh.
