drive-by update, frantic edition
Aug. 1st, 2012 11:21 amUsually, if I slack off at posting it's because I'm depressed. This time it's because I'm doing too many things at once.
Project #1: The worst is over, as of yesterday. Please? That was the second most uncomfortable meeting I've ever been in. (You can guess the first, right?) I should be able to quit being cryptic about this time next week.
Project #2: Gearing up in earnest. I've been hitting Craigslist for apartments because all the ones I hear about from friends & family keep getting grabbed out from under me. I'll need a strapping boy or girl* to help me move, probably on the weekend of the 11th. The customary eats, drinks, and/or sexual favors are, of course, offered as an inducement.
Nibs: Out of town trying to drum up work, especially on books. That's right: I have to camp out at the old place and wrangle my son, a job made non-trivial by his volunteer and business (i.e. dog walking) obligations.
Lambert House: Fighting feature creep with the director, who's about to go on a long vacation next week. I found out yesterday that while he takes months to figure out what the house needs, volunteers are filling the DB with junk to work around the DB's shortcomings.
Head: Splody.
