How do I spell relief? S-T-E-N-T.
Jun. 27th, 2013 11:20 amMom had her catheterization yesterday morning, Eastern time. Her cardiologist found a "big blockage" and sent her straight to the hospital. She had two stents put in, got discharged this morning, and is resting at home. I spoke to Mom on the phone while I was waiting for the bus. She's weak, but she's out of the woods. They put the stents in just in the nick of time. She'll have to take Plavix from now on. Strawberry Blonde Sister, the only one of us who still lives in town, was with her at the hospital all of yesterday.
How did I find out about this? Brunette Sister texted me at 0300 and 0630, Pacific time. She's still the Good Sister, and still somehow manages to be a pain in the ass. Don't ever change.
Moral: if you have symptoms like hers, get them checked out ASAP. I may have been days away from losing my mother, the only family member I can talk to about real stuff.
