Mom on ice
Apr. 27th, 2018 12:22 pmGood Sister just texted us the date for the big, full-on, permanent guardianship hearing for Mom: August 2nd. June 28th was available, but GS said she can't be there then. Why? Dunno. And since GS is the one doing the filing, neither I nor Evil Sister can just fill in. (ES offered.)
And this is supposed to be the speedy, "emergency" process. I just hope Mom doesn't find a way to screw things up even further in the next three months and five days. She could of course just change her mind and come quietly, but even my ever-optimistic Good Sister has realized that's as likely as pigs flying F-18s.
ES points out that Mother's Day is going to be... difficult. We'll all keep trying to talk to Mom, but I'll be surprised if she answers the phone when I call on Sunday. And that woman is a champ at nursing grudges.
