I had pho with the Wendling last night. That's nothing unusual, but it always carries a danger: all that salty broth will want out of me in the middle of the night. Sure enough, it happened last night, so I slept from 2230 to 0300 and 0550 to 0750. Le sigh. There may be weed lube in my near future.
Dr. Gaydude says my ankle is coming right along, which is what I suspected. It feels better, and the alarming-looking discoloration in parts of my foot & leg that weren't hurt in the fall is fading. I just tightened my boot, demonstrated proper crutch form, and hobbled on out of there.
I had lunch at Uwajimaya with my son - my ride to the doctor - to the sound of circular saws. They're renovating. I picked that place because it's across the street from a light rail station. I'd forgotten about the train switcheroo that has to happen at Pioneer Square during construction for the blue line. The transfer was impressively and mercifully quick, though. The Sound Transit dudes say it's due to end on March 15th. And everybody on the trains and in the stations is super helpful to a middle-aged lady on crutches.
