sistawendy: black and white shot of me looking dramatic (drama)
The appraisal has happened, but I don't know the result, i.e. whether I owe more money. My agent says that's unlikely.

I've arranged movers for the afternoon of the 30th. I've rented no-parking signs for both the old place and the new one. I've printed out temporary no-parking zone permits from the city. Gonna get many cardboard boxes and pack starting on the 16th, but I have only a vague notion of where I might put the packed boxes. I have a feeling that my son & I won't be eating at the usual table during the last week or two of this month.

My mortgage application has received "conditional approval", meaning apparently that they want some more documentation. What do they want, my shoe size? It's an 11 women's in the US, EU 42. But seriously, I'm... not serene about all this.

At least I look pretty good at the moment, in something that belonged to [personal profile] cupcake_goth until pretty recently. Resolved: no more buying clothes or shoes for several months because a) I have to pack, move, and unpack it all, and b) I'm about to need the cash.

Less than ten minutes after I posted my previous entry, I found out what the conditions for my mortgage approval were. They wanted bank statements that actually showed me putting down the earnest money, and my latest W-2*. No biggie. But oh yeah, they wanted to know why Ex's address was on my credit report.

I did cosign on Ex's first mortage on her current abode. I recalled that she got my name off it when she refinanced. But I couldn't verify that because what turned out to be a ninety minute meeting started when I posted my last entry, too. Commence ninety minutes of stressing out.

Afterward, I got Ex on the actual voice phone, Xer style. She confirmed what I belived: she's refinanced twice since she got the house, in grand Ex style, and my name was not on either of the refis. I should be golden.

I of course relayed this to my lender. Cross a couple of appendages for me.

*For those outside the US, that's the end-of-year payroll statement for tax purposes. If you work a regular job in the US, you get a W-2 sent to you by Feb. 1st by law.
