neuro42 invited people to watch the 4th of July fireworks from his boat. Am I feeling celebratory about the US right now? Hell no, but I wasn't about to turn down an offer like that. Even better, the boat is moored within walking distance of the Devil Girl House.
I knew Neuro could sail, but I didn't know that he both owns and lives on a sailboat. His plan is to sail around the world in it eventually. He seems happy, which given his mental health history is no small thing.
Fortunately, he wasn't the only one I knew there: Much Younger Woman was too. It was a blast from my MOOing and con-going past.
Thongs spotted through fancy binoculars: one, but it wouldn't have occurred to me to look for them without MYW's suggestion. I tend to date queers who are roughly as filthy as I am.
Sparkly kabooms witnessed: lots, natch. I was nearly home when I heard what must have been a mortar firing from the yard of the nearby elementary school, quickly followed by a commercial grade firework explosion. Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure a bunch of unauthorized but very nice fireworks were fired from the transfer station or awfully close to it.
