Stayed home today to almost literally make hay while the sun shines: mowed overlong grass, sprayed weeds (with hippie stuff), applied weed & feed (definitely not hippie), tossed squash vines & tomato plants, lifted day lilies & irises. I'd like to think this was my last mowing of the year, but experience tells me otherwise. You may ask, why take a day off work for stuff I'm not crazy about doing? Too much rain, too little light after dinner.
