Wearing a costume - suffragette, of course - to my current employer for the first time. Nibs was a bit distraught that I didn't warn them, but she needn't have worried. What little reaction there has been has been mainly amusement. One sharp-eyed female PM noticed that I'm wearing higher heels under this long dress than she ever does. Two people have asked me if my "VOTES FOR WOMEN" sash implies support for Sarah Palin. Nonononono! I've been telling a lot of Indians & Chinese about the women's suffrage movement in this country. It's a pity my boss isn't here today.
Last night, pumpkin carving with the Wendling. I'll post pics after they're lit tonight. Neither his nor mine is a great work of art, but I give m'boy credit for doing nearly all the carving himself this time, at his insistence, especially since his huge pumpkin had walls at least 4" (10 cm) thick. Because it rested on its side as it grew, it's none too stable, so I was his vise. For the record, we both still have all our fingers.
Tonight: a different costume, also historical, and house parties. Aw, yeah.
